‘KERBSIDE’
& ‘DOOR TO DOOR’ SCHEMES FOR THE COLLECTION
AND RECOVERY OF ALL TYPES OF RECYCLED MATERIALS
As a company that specialises
in the provision of Recycling Services we provide cost effective,
time proven and efficient solutions to enable UK Local Authority and
Councils to achieve and exceed their ‘Waste Minimisation’,
‘Agenda 21’, ‘Best Value’ issues.
We understand that successful Household Recycling and Collection Services
should be Sustainable, Reliable and Cost Effective whilst encouraging
residents to actively participate and divert as much material as possible
away from the domestic and commercial Waste Streams.
Since 1995, we have developed, implemented, managed and successfully
operated a very large portfolio of Single and Multi-Material ‘Door
to Door’ and ‘Kerbside’ collection and recovery
schemes in Partnership with a number of major Local Authorities, Councils,
End User – Reprocessing Companies and Charities throughout the
country (including a number of ‘High Profile’ London Boroughs).
We have developed excellent partnerships and relationships with a
number of Local Authorities and Councils at Recycling Officer, Environmental
Control Officer, Elected Member and Management Committee level. Those
relationships have been successfully extended to include ‘Re-processor
& End User Consortium’ thus ensuring the ‘Closed Loop’
is maintained.
Since 1995 we have planned and implemented 22 ‘Kerbside’
and ‘Door to Door’ collection schemes for both direct
clients and third party consortia organisations. We currently manage
and operate Multi Material Source Separation ‘Kerbside’
– ‘Door to Door’ collection and recovery schemes,
serving 75,000 plus properties. We also manage and operate two ‘Material
Transfer Stations’ and reception centres for the receipt and
value add secondary sorting, grading and bulking of collected materials.
MULTI MATERIAL COLLECTION SYSTEMS
In recent years we have participated in joint initiatives and trials
to convert single material to ‘Multi Material’
Source Separation Collection Schemes. The conversions from
single to Multi Material have proven to be very successful in increasing
the amount of recycled materials recovered as well as enhancing the
participation rates and sustainability of those schemes. |

PURPOSE DESIGNED &
TESTED VEHICLES AND PROCESSES FOR ‘MULTI-MATERIAL’ SOURCE
SEPARATED SCHEMES – UNIQUE VEHICLES
As a result of our own ‘HARD WON’ in house operational experience,
Health and Safety, ‘HSE’ and Risk Assessment awareness. We
analysed those factors and requirements and worked with our own front
line Collection Operatives and Supervisors to develop and present a satisfactory
and workable vehicle specification to a specialist commercial vehicle
body designer and manufacturer.
As a result we have jointly developed, successfully operated ourselves
and been able to market those specially designed vehicles to other operators
including DSO’s and DLO’s from various Local Authorities,
Councils and Waste Minimisation and Management organisations around the
UK.
The ‘OSKAR’ Kerbside Collection Vehicle enables
operators to safely and efficiently recover and collect various source
separated and different types of material from the kerbside or pavement
adjacent presentation of collection containers from bags and boxes.
The ‘OSKAR’ style of collection vehicle maximises payload
options for each type of material collected whilst also enabling a flexible
approach to the efficient and optimum loading of the vehicle(s).
Our own unique design 7500 tonne gvw
‘OSKAR’ vehicle has the ability to safely and legally carry
a payload of up to 3200 kilos consisting of up to five separated and kerbside
sorted materials on the vehicle (all at the same time), being Newspaper
and Magazines, Glass Jars and Bottles either (Mixed Colours or Colour
Separated), Bagged Textiles, Cans (UBC's Food or Beverage) using
kerbside bag and or box containers to 'source separate'. Other materials
can also be collected. NOTE: The 'OSKAR' format vehicles can
be supplied and adapted to any size, weight and manufacture
of vehicle chassis from smaller 2 to 18 plus tonne gvw vehicles.
